Keith Miller is a busy single father who is constantly traveling to support his family. Keith immediately contacts his mother, Helen Davis, who helps care for Hannah, and instructs her to take the girl to Central Hospital. Worried about his mother's health, he withholds the truth about Hannah's critical condition and rushes to the hospital himself. Because Keith is often away, a health supplement salesman named Gary Stevens enters Helen's life, claiming to be devoted to caring for seniors.
