Sinopsis Toad Plague

Gu Wanzhou, an adopted daughter of the Gu family, goes camping in the mountains with the rest of her household. Trapped by a torrential downpour, she experiences a nightmare in which mutated giant toads attack. She sacrifices herself to save her adoptive mother Zhang Lan, only to be used as bait and pushed into the toad’s mouth. Upon waking, Gu Wanzhou watches her dream unfold exactly in reality. Faced with the Gu family’s selfish cruelty and relentless persecution, she forms an alliance with Lu Zheng, a humiliated live-in son-in-law. Surviving against raging mutated poisonous toads and the darkness of human nature, they outlast all dangers. In the end, the wicked reap their own doom, and the two escape alive.
