Athena, High Priestess of the Temple, is betrayed by her husband Charon and adopted sister Daphne. Her father the king is slain, and she falls into the River Styx. On the brink of death, her hearing returns. She conceals herself by pretending to be deaf and mute. Protected by the Templar Hethius, she plots in secret. Bit by bit, she uncovers Charon’s schemes of regicide, usurpation and collusion with the God of the Underworld. Finally, she awakens her divinity by sacrificing her memories, slays the traitors with her own hands, seals the gates of the Underworld, and ascends as the new King of Gods.
